Anita Prizio (she/her) was elected to the Allegheny County Council in November 2017 to represent District 3, which extends from Reserve Township to West Deer Township. She is currently a member of the following standing committees: Economic Development & Housing, Health & Human Services, Parks, Government Reform, Education . She is a board member of the Allegheny Conservation District and the Parks Foundation. 

Anita believes that like our water, our government should be transparent and accessible. To that end, Anita is an independent voice for her constituents fighting to make Allegheny County a healthier, more equitable, more inclusive county, a county that works for everyone.

Lifelong Pittsburgher and daughter of two immigrants, Anita earned both her MBA and her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh and was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar Association in 1999. As a court appointed special advocate, she has used her law degree to fight for the interests of children in family court. 

Anita spent the past 30 years selling engine parts, but is currently applying her business background in her work with Steel Valley Authority, a non-profit, working to save Pennsylvania manufacturing jobs.

Anita was a proud elected Bernie delegate to the 2016 and 2020 DNC.
